Coloring Contest

Kansas State Grange Coloring Contest Rules

Contest Period: 

• The contest begins on June 1, 2026 and ends on August 31, 2026. Entries must be submitted/postmarked by August 31, 2026. 

Eligibility: 

• The contest is open to Kansas children 5-17 and adults 18+. Grange membership is not a requirement. 

How to Enter: 

• Participants should submit their completed coloring page by mail to:

• Each official entry must include the participant’s name, age group, email address, and mailing address on the back. Information should preferably be printed on a label and affixed to the entry.

Coloring Page: 

• The coloring page for the contest can be obtained at a participating library, from any Kansas Grange member, or downloaded from the Kansas State Grange website (kansasgrange.org/coloringcontest)

• NEW for 2026: Two official coloring page designs will be used for different age groups. Participants ages 5–9 and 10–13 will use one design, while participants ages 14–17 and 18+ will use a separate design.

• Participants must use the official coloring page provided by the organizers. No substitutions or alterations are allowed. 

Judging and Criteria: 

• Entries will be judged based on creativity, use of color, adherence to theme, etc. 

• The judging panel will consist of the Kansas State Grange Lecturer, the Lecturer’s committee, and the Kansas State Grange Community Service Director. 

• Winners will be announced at the Kansas State Grange Session September 18-20, via Kansas State Grange Facebook and emails will be sent to the winners. 

Prizes: 

• Prizes will be awarded for the following age groups: 5-9, 10-13, 14-17, and 18+ 

• The prizes for each age group: 1st Place: $20, 2nd Place: $15, 3rd Place: $10

General Rules: 

• Each participant may submit only one entry. Multiple entries from the same participant will result in disqualification. 

• The entry must be the original work of the participant and not previously published or entered in any other contest. 

• Entries must be 8.5”x 11” 

• Entries must be submitted flat; do not fold or roll entries. 

• Coloring pages may only be colored by colored pencils, markers, crayons, paint, etc. No digital coloring/computer-aided drawings will be accepted. 

• There is no limitation on use or number of colors. 

• By entering the contest, participants grant Kansas State Grange the right to use submissions for promotional purposes, including but not limited to online posting, display at events, and in printed materials. 

• The decision of the judges is final and binding on all matters related to the contest. 

Liability and Rights: 

Kansas State Grange is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, or illegible entries; or for any computer, telephone, cable, network, satellite, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, or availability, or incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or website, or any other error or malfunction. 

Consent: 

For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must give their consent for participation and acknowledge the contest rules. Contest Agreement must be signed and submitted with the official entry. 

All entries become the property of the Kansas State Grange. Entries will not be returned.
